Our mission is to glorify God, extending His kingdom by example and proclaiming His truth in the world.

About Bethany

 

Bethany (House of Welcome) is our name because it is by God's grace we're “welcome.” He has seen fit to assemble this body of believers to exalt Jesus Christ, His Son — the One whose death and resurrection welcomes us with the peace of God and the hope of heaven. You'll find that His grace, His house of Welcome, is the common thread that runs through all worship and every ministry here.

 

Community is something we cherish. It suggests both genuine fellowship within our church family and an open hand to those around us. As members of one body, we seek to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace (Ephesians 4:3). As a light and salt in our community, we're a place of savory peace for those in chaos, a place of forgiveness for the guilty, and a place of hope for the hopeless.

 

Church, however, is paramount because of its uncommonness. While "Bethany" and "Community" were our choice of name, "Church" is who we are as was mandated by God in His Word. It is His designation for the assembly of people called out by the power of His name. As such, our path has been charted by God; our destiny has been planned by God; our members have been chosen by God; our purposes are from God.
